The action of Spirulina
Spirulina is a microscopic alga whose nutrients, which can be perfectly assimilated by the body, make it a natural, concentrated source of nutritious elements : high-quality proteins, minerals and trace elements (calcium, magnesium, iron,…) vitamins (A, E, B and B12).
• Stimulates the immune system,
• Protects and detoxifies the “kidney and liver system”,
• Protects cells and regulates the blood supply,
• Improves powers of physical and intellectual recovery,
• Improves memory and concentration,
• Anti-inflammatory and regenerative effect due to its anti-oxidant and anti-radical properties,
• Participates in maintaining dietary balance, notably in weight-loss diets.
History of Spirulina
This microscopic alga appeared at the time of the first living beings, around 3.5 billion years ago.
It is one of the earliest forms of “terrestrial” life. Spirulina owes its name to its highly unusual spiral shape. Its dietary benefits were already recognised by the people of Chad in Africa and the ancient Aztecs in Mexico who grew and ate it as a food in its own right.
